Last year in the spoken English test, I told my teacher Mr. Zhou that I didn’t like English .Actually it was that I didn’t like the English class. The lecture was tedious and boring. Besides, I hate those English books, including the integrated book and the reading book. As far as I’m concerned, they are just a waste of money. Topics in these books usually have nothing to do with us or even have nothing to do with China. Besides, no society news or political events can be found in them. So I suggest that some English newspapers such as 21 Century and China Daily can be used as a complement of our textbooks.
However, there is a different atmosphere now. We students are the Protagonists during the class while the teacher becomes subordinate. In this term, Mr. Zhou pays most of his attention to our spoken English. Every student may be asked to give a presentation every week. We are all willing and happy to search materials and do a speech on the platform, because we can get interesting things and gain new knowledge during the work. What’s more, it can improve our spoken English. So giving presentations becomes the attractive features of this course. Now you would hardly find students having breakfast or being sleep in the class.
   Now if anyone ask me whether I like English, I’ll certainly reply “Yes”

现在学英语，是真正学习一门语言。新的教学方法加上自主学习中心的学习经历，让我感受着一种前所未有的乐趣。上台讲，练习了口语，锻炼了说出英语的勇气 。课堂上的“说”，是锻炼我们的嘴，自主学习中心的“查”，是锻炼我们的脑。

可以说在大学里我最喜欢上的就是英语课了。在上课的时候老师会安排一些小组互动活动和看电影等内容，这不仅可以很有力的吸引着我们而且可以真正的锻炼我们的口语和表达能力。还有我们每两周有一次去自主学习中心学习的机会，这又培养了我们靠自己学习的能力。真希望大学里像这种真正能学到东西的课程可以多一点。
